…. At the end of August, I told you how proud I was about the translation of  this Danish crochet pattern , to start a shawl made with solid triangles ( here )…. …. there have been  tips , just a couple of showing off ( here  and  here ) and a  translation in English  from the original pattern … …. after that, nothing more !!!! But…. ….. Few days ago, I completed the 49 triangles needed to shape my shawl!!!!! …. just imagine the joy !!!!! I have used 6 different colours to crochet my triangles, using a 3,5mm hook… For each colour I had 8 triangles, but the pattern was calling for 49, so I decided to lay on the floor my existing triangles, arranging them in the way I liked, then I choose (see the yarn ball in the above pic!) which colour could have the honour for an extra triangle!!! Luckily, since the beginning of this project, I decided to crochet each triangle with only one colour, so when it was time to trim in the ends, they...

I crocheted few rows of my blanket-to-be…. ….. a growing beauty…. well, at least for me!!!!! ;oD A friend of mine had her birthday, so I decorated her present with a  granny circle "home sweet home"  and a  teeny-tiny heart  …. …. just simple things, that made me smile!!! Yap ! I crocheted something for her, my lovely cat Margot !!!!! She follows me everywhere in the house and she lays her body next to me, both on soft and hard surfaces…. so I thought that she needed something for when I sit at the computer (maybe for a couple of hours…. or more!!!!)….. the table is a nice place for me to work on, but less nicer for Margot (she is even 14 years old…)….. But today everything has changed for the better !!!! ;oD This post is not a proper photo tutorial, but I'll give you all the informations you need to crochet a cosy mat for your pets with the help of "some" good pictures!!! Note that if your pet doesn't like it, you can use it as a thin cushion for a chair!!! You'll need for this project : some colourful yarns : I've used my usual indonesian acrylics !!! a hook : 5mm was a good choice for my yarns, you can use any hook that is good for the yarn you choose a pair of scissors a yarn needle Obviously, before start...

…. a new shawl …. …. no bright colours, but very soothing ones…. not my usual choice, I know…. I have to crochet (we'll see then, even because the centre of the flowers is not as the pattern dictates!) 4 stripes of 16 flowers each…. The book, where the inspiration comes from, is this one …. …. and the pattern that made me say "awwwww!" is the following …. In the meantime, my blanket is getting bigger and bigger…..
