Exactly one month ago I started this  flowery project  …. Today, I can show you the simple idea I came out with : a Starburst Flowers Centrepiece !!! Wanna look? Please, you are really welcome … …. some flowery details… Are you interested in some technical data? I was working with a 3,5mm hook. The cottons used are : Catania 100% cotton for the petals ; Sirdar FLIRT double knitting black (SH 226 LOT 91016) for the centres and Sirdar FLIRT double knitting beige (SH 222 LOT 10308) for the outer round; DALLA ROSA 100% cotone perlato (made in Italy!) in white (bagno 117) for the round around the black circle! The pattern for the STARBURST FLOWER was found on the book "150 Knit & Crochet Motifs" by Heather Lodinsky. The final measurements of the centrepiece are : 45cm for each side and 41cm in width (or depth?). …. sorry for the delay, but the last two weeks have been a little bit crazy …. Problems with a slow internet and some black-outs … A  Christmas crafty photo tutorial  to organise …. …. and our family life in the between!!!!! ;oD Now, eventually, I can show you my work …. ….. The original idea was to crochet a lacy and colourful curtain for the big window of our kitchen …. …. I told you I hadn't in mind to make a big doily, but …. …. I couldn't find any curtain rod for that window, that has even a metallic frame, so, even a natural option, like driftwood with some nails, had to be rejected ….  : ((( Anyway, I'm happy with this result and I love the asymmetrical shape !!! Now that everything is out of the boxes and that my yarn is my studio/bedroom and that my Japanese crochet books are in display on my bookcases …… well, I feel really happy !!!!! ;oD I started to browse (again!) my lovely books and looking at my yarn stash I thought I was ready to experiment again with some Japanese crochet charts …. …. In this book, I found a cheerful pattern …. …. a happy hat, with some granny squares (easy), some lace (light) and a string with 2 pom poms at its ends …. obviously, this pattern (pattern name : Colorful motif Cap ) was calling my name out loudly !!! While choosing the colours, I decided that my hat has to be C-O-L-O-U-R-F-U-L, so no white was selected, but instead some bright pink and blue, purple, caramel and mint green !
