….. it's seems I'm a bit lazy with my hooks lately, in part it's true and in part it's not… I'm working a colourful piece of fabric ( just look above!) in which double crochet stripes ( in red and hot pink) alternate single crochet ones ( in blue, lime green, peach and pink !), but still I'm not sure what  I'm crocheting…… …. and I don't feel the urge to complete this "thing"! I'm very relaxed about everything lately, probably because it's about time to feel in this way!!! The big move is done and we are simply waiting for our stuff to be at home with us…. after that, we'll surely feel at home again!!! I think I have to enjoy this quiet time…. kids are "back" (well, they started school in a new one!) to school and have, once again, a routine to follow and some new friends that make this transition smooth and enjoyable… They have started even afternoon activities and Kayaking in the sea is a cool discovery!!!...

During this last week I was working on the  shawl for myself  and I was crocheting the last floral motif right this morning!!!! It has been a lovely project to work with. No difficult stitches to crochet and I found it satisfying to join each flower when almost done. I was even good enough to remember to trim in the ends when the new flower was joined to the shawl!!!! The colours chosen for this soft accessorise were 5, but each row is formed by 16 flowers, so I had to decide for a 6th shade…. For a long while it was orange… ….. but this morning ( I know, it sounds a little bit crazy!) I decided that I didn't like orange anymore, so I cut the previous ones and I crocheted new ones in a delicate green hue …. …… and I reached the end of my shawl !!!!! Look !!!! ….. I don't know when I'm going to finish it…. ….but I'm going on crocheting, slowly but with an encouraging enthusiasm…. It's the typical project that it's a pleasure to enjoy in the evenings, sitting on your favourite sofa with the rest of your family just next to you (even the cat, with which I "fight" a lot for "blanket possession")… You cannot carry it around with you (I mean outside the home!)…. too big and heavy!!!! ;oD My yarn stash is consumed little by little…. I'm not buying yarn for this blanket and when a colour is out of stock (my personal stock!) I just pick a "new" one from one of my drawers…. easy peasy… ….. Maybe one day I'll start to weave in the million ends or maybe not…. still thinking about the way I'll end my first blanket… still a lot of time, so a deep breathe and patience : enjoy the journey!!! …. and in the meantime I really love this huge and warm yarn hug…. xxxx...
