Make it! The Lovely Funny Hat !!!

Hi there!!!! It seems I`m not able (or can`t find the time) to be here more regurarly, and I`m sorry for that, as I really love this place of mine... anyway, I made another pattern to share with you all! The idea came to me last year, while working on triangle motifs to figure out a simple heart.. this came out very elongated and I decided to use it for a silly hat, good for both Valentine`s Day and the italian Carnevale, at the end of February...!!! This ridiculous hat is a very quick make and I like the fact it doesn`t need to be stiffened to hold its point up!!! The hat is made of 3 panels (1 upside-down heart and 2 triangles), worked using DC (= British tr) stitches and joined as you go (no sewing involved). The upside-down heart is kept on the back of your head when wearing the hat, as you can see from the above picture : there is a kind of tail along my neck on the left selfie of my collage ! WHAT YOU NEED : YARN : King Cole BIG VALUE chunky, 100g, 100% premium...

Make it ! Sombrero Ring Holder !!!

The inspiration for these sombreros comes from Lauren's Mini Sombrero Crochet Pattern . In fact, the first sombrero (the one with the blue edging) is crocheted following the original pattern, while the next ones (pink and yellow edgings) have in my personal variations to Lauren's pattern. My sombreros (all of them) were made using a 3,5mm hook and cotton threads. You need, also, a pair of scissors, a yarn needle, a stitch marker (as working in spiral, it's a good idea to identify the first stich of the round) and a small amount of toy filling. All the sombreros are crocheted using a pale blue cotton thread and the colourful edging is made with single crochet stitches (=SC, abbreviation) (US crochet terminology) and picots (each made of 3 chains). Every 3 single crochets, you make a picot! First Sombrero Is the one with the blue edging I simply followed Lauren's pattern. The only difference is the final embellishment, as I preferred picots...

Make it ! Bunnies Galore Bun(-ny!)ting !!!

This year, our Easter will be full of bunnies !!!! In fact, I have just completed a crocheted garland, not too big, with some colourful bunnies ... If you are a fan of the Easter Bunny (who is not?) I invite you to follow my directions and to collect all you need to crochet these sweet creatures : a hook (4mm) some yarn (I've been using a selection of filati cervinia caprice) a pair of scissors some buttons to use as eyes a pom pom maker (optional) : 2cm diameter yarn needle a needle that passes through the buttons holes toy stuffing I decided to use the white yarn as the main colour for the  bunnies muzzles and please remember that I follow the US crochet terminology! ;oD LET'S START !!! Grab your hook and make a slip knot on it, using the white yarn. Chain 4 and push the hook in the first chain made, to form a ring. FIRST ROUND : chain 2 and crochet 12 double crochets into the ring. Slip stitch in top of first DC (=double crochet) to close the round ...
