Hi my Dears!!!! The moving is completed!!! I've opened all the boxes and all our stuff is in place : we have a cosy place to call home again!!!! HURRAY!!!! In the meantime I crafted a little, as some gifts were requested … I had the joy to open my beads boxes and create a couple of beaded bracelets … The first one had to be done with neutral colours ... … while the second one was just up to me, so I went for blues … … then I crocheted two pairs of fingerless Minions mitts (free pattern found  here ) for a couple of twins brothers (7 years old!) who are going to celebrate their birthday this coming Sunday … So, I had some fun in creating all these little gifts, all handmade with love!!! I'll be here in my place very soon : no more "excuses" for delay after delay!!! xxxx, Alessandra

Just few pics to show you what I did with the rainbow template .... ....just cut some arches from my fancy felt and added some velvety beads, all sewn with colourful egyptian cotton threads to have a witty brooch.... .... because I want to draw a smile from a "sweet 16"!!!!! Here we are with this weekly appointment about my crafts related with the ideas, that you can find on Sarah's book  Craft-A-Day  !!! I've worked using felt as my basic material. After cutting out the pieces forming the lion's face, this is what I had on my desk... ...then, I collected some bead (orange and blue) boxes... ...and all the other things I supposed to need for my craft... ...some colourful threads, needles, a safety pin, some filling (note that at the end, I didn't use both the filling and the white felt parts-ears and muzzle!) and 3 little buttons.... I started with the sewing of the safety pin on the back of one of the blue felt circles (yes, they are two!)... On the other disc, I sewed the lion's mane first... ...then the face... ...and some buttons, as eyes and nose... To sew together the two circles of the brooch, I used the blanket stitch and the beads, alternating one blue with one orange... ....at the ...

The first one is my "fish necklace"... ....I made this as a little present .... hope the recipient will be pleased with my own version of "Nemo"!!!! The other nice little thing is that yesterday I WON A GIVEAWAY!!!! The first one since I started to blog!!!! You may find more details  HERE  and  HERE  !!!!! When I read my name on the winners list I couldn't believe it!!! Then I was dancing with a big smile on my face!!! After a while I started to panic.....I had to develop my idea, write down a pattern, test it.....!!!!! So, last night, with some colourful yarns, a 5mm hook, my ideas and a pencil (!), I started to work on my future "oval table runner with scallop edging".... ...at the moment, the scale is really small, but it allows me to understand where there are errors and to improve my scallops design (it's working!!!)......Maybe I'll try even a version with dc, inste...
