A while ago (read this post, if you wish to be aware what I'm talking about), I crocheted some little houses, which then were forgotten in a box, once no more needed (as for the blogpost, dated 15 of October 2013!).... .... but in one of those days that you decide it's time to do some clean up, I found them again and I knew, this time, what to do with all of these little houses !!! I split them into two groups, each one with 7 houses. The first group had a prevail of blues, greens and grey ... The original  pattern is the following (US crochet terminology) : make a slip knot on your hook, chain 4 and slip stitch in the first chain to form a ring. chain 3, crochet 10 DCs into the ring and slip stitch in the top of your first DC made chain 8 (chain 3= DC and chain 5 more, to form the first arch), in same stitch crochet 1 DC, crochet 3 DCs in next 3 stitches, chain 5 (2nd arch) and crochet 1 DC in following stitch, ...

….. a nice email from an Italian girl ( ciao Monica!) who wanted to show me her work … …. colourful, full of pom poms and with a yarn doll at the end !!!!! The way I like it !!!! Monica followed my  vertical garland tutorial  , the  embellish granny square tutorial  and the  yarn dolls tutorial  !!!! It seems that the tutorials worked very well : GRAZIE MONICA !!!!! ….This is the usual way  Tinie  sign her comments or her emails addressed to me!!!! This early afternoon, when back home from grocery (and not only : yarn, too!!!) shopping, I found a little parcel and my heart started to sing and skip for joy : I was waiting for that!!! In this  post , Tinie has shown the picture of a crocheted garland with stars…..lovely! What made me think that I was the one who could receive this gift were the words…"last week I also sent an envelope far away"…. Silly, but honestly Indonesia is really far away from Holland, no? ;oD Do you wanna see what I did find in the above mentioned parcel? Please, have a look ….. How wonderful is that? Not only a lovely starry garland… ….But even a handmade felt heart with dutch colours…. ….and a lovely hand written card…. …such a sweet girl Tinie !!!!! In these previous posts ( here  and  here ), you can find all the brief story on how it all started. I've added just few more to the "old ones".... and.... So...... Yesterday afternoon, I've collected all my flowers, some round little buttons (they look like mini belt buckles!) and a length of ribbon (I don't remember how many cm long...) with thin red&white stripes and I've used all these notions to form a vertical garland/wall decoration..... Using just few elements to embellish it, I find this garland very simple but effective on a white wall!!!! Few details... It was intended for the kitchen, but right now it's hanging from one of the walls of the living room!!! More details... I promise, these following pics are the last ones.... ;oD ...... I don't know if you have done some (or just one! ;oD)  embellished granny squares  from my tutorial, but in case, I would love to show you what I did with mine!!! I took all 3 of them and with a pom pom maker ( the small one), I did 9 (you can do less, more or none at all!!!) little and colourful pom poms I decided even to add a yarn doll (  HERE  the instructions!) .... I had in mind a vertical garland, so I started to join (using knots) the pieces from the bottom-up, and the first elements were the yarn doll, one pom pom and one of the embellished grannies As you can see from the above picture and the following one, the red pom pom seems the wig of the yarn doll!!!! Then I collected other 3 pom poms to join (knotting the tails in the back, as  I let pass them in the corners of the granny squares) the last granny to the 2nd one... At this point I joined the first granny to the one in the middle, with the help of other 3 pom poms...
