 Even this project is an "oldie" of mine, as I posted it on my Instagram feed in January 2019, but it went lost because of the hacking, so ... It is a good time to re-purpose it with a fresh take, right? ... yes, you can decide to crochet single gifts or make a full Christmas tree ornament : so, let`s start!!! WHAT YOU NEED leftovers of DK yarn : I`ve been using a selection of Rico Fashion Cotton Metallise` DK for the central part of the granny gift and some spare colours of Bergerac de France Ideal. 4mm hook scissors yarn needle baker`s twine clear nail polish (to fix knots and ends) blocking board/pins/white glue/small brush and bowl Please, be aware I follow the US crochet terminology. WRAPPED GIFT PATTERN Using any metallic yarn, make a slip knot on your hook, 4ch, sl st in first chain to form a ring. Round 1 : 3ch, 2DC, 1ch, (3DC, 1ch) 3 times, sl st in initial 3ch, fasten off. Round 2 : join the new colour with a sl st in any corner, where you work (2ch, 2DC, 1ch, 3DC),...

I know spring is approaching, so I was thinking of a pair of light fingerless gloves with a small old far west lure ... What do you think, are you in, too ? The construction is very simple : you need to crochet 2 basic granny squares and then embellish them with some colourful fringes !!! I crocheted them in just one afternoon !!!! Hi there!!!! Hope you are all well and I wish you a GREAT 2017!!! We all deserve a good one!!! My last  blog post  is from 7/12/2016 ...... it was time to be back!!!! Today I'm going to show you a little project that took few days to be completed, because of the use of a small number of granny squares and of the simple construction : a Japanese knot bag !!! It all started with a simple granny square ... ... and very soon there was a second one ... ... and joining with the "as-you-go method", there were soon more to crochet the first panel of the bag to be ... ... and in no time we had even the second panel ... Once the two panels were joined, I had to add a simple border along the top (2 rounds of single crochets, US crochet terminology) ... Then, it was time to add the handles (still granny squares, but smaller of one round) with the peculiarity to be asymmetrical ... You have to make the longer ...

I started to crochet my first granny square for my jumper-to-be on last 4th of October... ... and little by little, crocheting on a daily basis, I added rounds after rounds ... ... while I was working on other two w.i.p.s, like my  PONCHO  and the  GEODE PILLOW  ... ... and when I completed 26 rounds for the first granny, I wanted to block it to see its real measures : it reaches 74 cm for each side (more or less!) ... The yarns I've been using were all from my personal stash, no new yarn was bought for this project and some are discontinued, while others I have no more the band with all the details or brand.
