Hi there!!!! It seems I`m not able (or can`t find the time) to be here more regurarly, and I`m sorry for that, as I really love this place of mine... anyway, I made another pattern to share with you all! The idea came to me last year, while working on triangle motifs to figure out a simple heart.. this came out very elongated and I decided to use it for a silly hat, good for both Valentine`s Day and the italian Carnevale, at the end of February...!!! This ridiculous hat is a very quick make and I like the fact it doesn`t need to be stiffened to hold its point up!!! The hat is made of 3 panels (1 upside-down heart and 2 triangles), worked using DC (= British tr) stitches and joined as you go (no sewing involved). The upside-down heart is kept on the back of your head when wearing the hat, as you can see from the above picture : there is a kind of tail along my neck on the left selfie of my collage ! In February, I made my first triangular scarf ( HERE) ... .... and yesterday I completed a new one !!!! I decided to follow the same pattern used for the previous scarf, but selecting a different colours scheme, more bluish .... Using the same circular knitting needles (4,5mm), I started my project with a royal blue (found in my yarn stash) from SIRDAR "Wash'n'Wear" DK double crepe and I chose other yarns to add later on ... It was a calm knitting, as I used to knit some rows each time (very rare!) I was getting bored with my crochet projects (yes, more than one at a time!) ... When the royal blue was gone (no more from my stash), I decided to join (look HERE) the new colour ( ROWAN RYC cotton jeans, shade 363 blue wash, 2 balls) ... After this shade, I decided to add few rows (I ended my work at row 220) of SIRDAR Snuggly DK shade 0385 twisted blue ... and off the knitting needles ... Honestly, even though I love blues, ...

A friend of mine kindly asked me to crochet her a hoody cowl with pompoms…. I started the work last Tuesday afternoon and it was completed this morning!!!!! She wanted something really colourful, to wear this Christmas time back in Italy (oh yes, she lives in JK, too!!!)….. I found this pattern, called Harlequin Hoodie , on Ravelry as a  free Ravelry download  !!!!! WOW !!!! The designer is  Marken of The Hat & I  and she owns an Etsy shop  here , where she sells her crochet patterns !!! The pattern is a written one, with no charts to follow….. I'm a chart person, but honestly I didn't have any problem to follow it!!!! I've used a 5mm hook and the crocheting went smooth and fast! A kind model (no moustaches today!) helped me to take some extra pictures to show you how the hoody cowl fits on… Well, I'm really really pleased with the outcome….. …..what about you girls ????
