.....While looking at the pics of my pink triangle , I've noticed something not pleasant about the way the stitches were joined together at the end/beginning of each row..... but I was not the only one, luckily!!!

I follow your blog and love it! You do such great, colorful crochet.
But, I wonder if you have ever tried this technique to hide your beginning stitch in each round. http://speckless.wordpress.com/2012/09/25/bridging-a-gap-when-you-join-rounds/
This is not my blog but just a helpful way to hide that chain at the beginning of the rows or rounds.
Keep up the great work, I love following your blog
Being a curious person (!!!!), I had a look to the link suggested by Brenda (now is pinned on my Crochet board!!!) ..... it helped me a lot with my second attempt, as you can see....
Better, eh????
I really appreciate these kind of advice ! So do not hesitate to give more help in the future!!!!
I love to improve my work and to learn something new and useful!!!!
Thank you Brenda and Heidi !!!!!!
So, obviously, I started to crochet a triangle for my shawl....
....and yes, another one is on the way !!!!!

Hello Ales
ReplyDeleteDo you know they say crochet triangles are one of the difficult things to do in crochet? Actually they look simple to do but to get a good triangle isn't easy. Yours look clean, straight borders and neat. In fact perfect to me!
I'm going to check that interesting hint in a minute because sometimes I am just not happy with the beginnings. I am also looking for how to join colours in rounds too because sometimes they overlap and I don't like how it appears.
keep well
Amanda :-)

ReplyDeleteLovely pictures and lovely triangles. I totally agree with Amanda, your triangles look crisp. Thanks for sharing the link.
Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteAlessandra, thank you for the kind words.
ReplyDeleteI hesitated about giving my advice but then I thought about how I would appreciate advice if it made my crochet easier or better looking.
You do great work and I love these triangles.
Neat trick ... and your triangles look lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI always think your work is fantastic. And don't see anything wrong with the first set. I know that my work has lots of mistakes. My joins aren't great but such is life. I just like creating. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
