This morning in my mailbox ...

…. I found the parcel sent by Alison (from the far Hebrides !!!), the lovely and witty hostess of Tweed Thoughts … !!!!!

She organised a giveaway on her blog on the 8th of April and informed me that I was the winner few days later!!!!! ;oD

These are the goodies that I won …. !!!!!!! …….. !!!!!!!! …….

• her first Tweedie Egg, with a big sentimental value and handmade with lot of love !!!!
• a lovely "cottage keychain", cute and useful!!!
• a trio of covered buttons : these are really amazing !!!!!
• an original tweedie egg card ( with its own envelope) : I was really spoiled !!!!!!

Then the nice touch of adding a handwritten note and a couple of pages from the local gazette !!!!!

Alison you made my day and I'm so happy of all the presents you gave me !!! The egg is so squishy : I love it in my hands!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day ...

….. to you all and to me, too!!!!!
Right this morning, I received a parcel from Holland (Thank you Tinie!!)….

…. because I was one of the two lucky winners of this GIVEAWAY !!!!
I tried to open the envelope with calm, so that I could see the content of it…

… there was a little fight with my curious cat, but at the end I was able to take a decent pic of my new cowl and happy card ( I love Elmer the elephant : how did you know that Tinie????)….

Then, I had to try it on ….. !!!!! ……

….but I have to keep it for next winter time!
For some days this cowl will stay here, where I can see it when using my laptop (so very often!)

Seize the day : my giveaway!!!!

My Dears,
I have to celebrate!!!!
One year ago, I posted my first try with crochet (here)....a wiggly green thing, that some days later has been unraveled!!! First crocheted disaster, but from mistakes you always learn something!!!!
Anyway, in one year, I've learnt a lot about crochet (just have a look at my @home made! page!) and I'm still learning!!! Wonderful!
Then, I wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU! to all my blog followers, to the ones that just read my blog or just visit me sometimes!!! I have to remember to thank even my followers on Pinterest !!!!!
A few days ago, I realized that the number of my blog visitors was approaching 50000, so even for this reason I'm here today! The funny (and still unbelievable!) thing is that because of this event, suddenly the visitors were more than 50000!!! This morning I checked : 54972!!!!!!
Well, these few days have been so big for me!!! Thank you!!!!!

Grande Catania is here !!!!

Last night, my husband came back from the office with this parcel from Canada....

....but I opened it this morning to take some pics with the sun light!!!!! Crazy, eh!!!!

But my waiting was really rewarded, with some lovely cards and wishes by Maaike, the lovely hostess of creJJtion....

....and this was the sweet package of my won giveaway (see here, here and here !!)....

....and inside 5 balls of.....WOW WOW and WOW....!!!!!....

.....thank you Maaike for this incredible yarn!!!!! I'm crazily happy!!!! ;oD

Now an hook in my right hand to start crocheting my colourful table runner!!!!

Two nice little things...

The first one is my "fish necklace"...

....I made this as a little present .... hope the recipient will be pleased with my own version of "Nemo"!!!!

The other nice little thing is that yesterday I WON A GIVEAWAY!!!! The first one since I started to blog!!!! You may find more details HERE and HERE !!!!!
When I read my name on the winners list I couldn't believe it!!! Then I was dancing with a big smile on my face!!!
After a while I started to panic.....I had to develop my idea, write down a pattern, test it.....!!!!!
So, last night, with some colourful yarns, a 5mm hook, my ideas and a pencil (!), I started to work on my future "oval table runner with scallop edging"....

...at the moment, the scale is really small, but it allows me to understand where there are errors and to improve my scallops design (it's working!!!)......Maybe I'll try even a version with dc, instesad of sc!!!
We'll see..... ;oD
