Owly joined the gang (of Matryoshkas)!!!!

After some days of sewing (just yesterday and this early morning), you have now the opportunity to meet Owly, a chubby owl with a great personality and a good taste about girls..... Hoot!Hoot!Hoot! My tail!!! Big big eyes!1 ....After a while, he eventually decided where to stop and rest.....for a long time? Maybe forever.... How may I contradict him? If I look at him closely, I think his eyes are widened a little more, or not? ;-)) My Ravelry notes can be found  HERE  !!! See you soon, xxx

From felt to yarn, but still an owl it is!!!

Just few days ago, I wrote this post ( here ) asking you to guess what I was knitting..... ....I'm adding more pics now and you'll tell me what do you think about my new creation, ok? It's still a w.i.p. but no more a secret for your curious eyes!!! His/her name is Owly and in a very short time he/she will be a cute cushion/soft toy!!! Well, be patient and soon you'll discover his/her actual shape and personality!!!! See you soon, xxxx

My Owl : Mr Rainbowl

Well, after some thinking and struggling about decisions to make to finish My Owl, I'm proud to say that Mr Rainbowl is born and ready to fly... To me, he is simply magnificent (28 cm tall from head to dangling acorn!). My husband, while I was still sewing it, said that the owl had too many features....Yes, he is really rich in details, I know, but it couldn't be different! He has to be in this way (at least, this first time!!!). What do you think? I would like to hear your opinion! See you soon, xxx

My owl

When did I start to sew felt owls? Not long ago! Infact you can see them starting from this post( Miss Owlette ) and the following ones ( ....and today : Miss Owloween!  and Some cuteness and a little bit of silliness! ) and you will discover that this is a recent crafty passion! My first four owls were born following a template ("felt owl ornament"), that I've discovered via Day to Day ( http://www.melissagoodsell.typepad.com/ ). This template has been designed by Jessica Levitt on her blog http://www.juicy-bits.typepad.com/   and I really love it!!! So in this way I became an owl addict and now I've designed my personal owl! It will be completed in a short while as you can see from the following pics... Phew!!! I'm very glad about the result till now and I'm completely smitten with the "feathers" on my owl's tummy!!! What about you? Any comment? Please feel free to leave a comment at ...

What's new on my working table!

... A brand new owl : Miss Owllure! As the other owls of my nest, she is a gift for a friend of mine and she already left my home!! She is different from Miss Owlette and Miss Owloween for just one thing.... Infact, there is no cage dangling from her claws, but a clock! I think it's good, anyway! I didn't have any more cages in my drawer...Just some bycicles, the Eiffel Tower, some butterflies and some flowers....I thought the clock had a good chance to have a perfect fit with my owl! I'm in love with these fish! What do you think? I'm so excited about the velvety effect! Look how different they are even from this one This one is amazing, too, but it's not so warm, so brilliantly colourful....!!! Well, i'm so happy with the new version! New handknitted bracelets! They didn't take a long time to knit : it was much longer the customizing time, oh yes! The result is attractive and I hope that tomorrow at the bazaar they will catch some ...

Some cuteness and a little bit of silliness!

Oh yeah! I've crafted a couple of days ago an owl for me! Her name is Miss Owlessandra (!!!) and I'm really proud and happy to go around with her around my neck, as infact she is my own owl necklace!! And what about this velvety fish? It's really light as a pendant for another necklace and the colours are really yummy! Even Margot was interested in playing with this little fella... You know? This 3D fish project is not new at all! I've started to bead its brothers and sisters 6/7 years ago while in Cairo. The first ones where made in honour of Nemo and they looked like these ones : So the idea is still the same, but the beads are different! Which one do you prefer? I'm curious to know ! Well, now give space to the silliness.... I'll tell you all the story! I was still beading the fish and Margot desperately wanted to play with it, BUT.... so, I collected out from my sewing basket the tailor ...
