When you meet Anneke from Crochet in Paternoster .....

.... well, it has happened (almost a couple of weeks ago, in Cape Town!) ... ... you can have a lovely afternoon of nice talking and laughing : for me was magical to meet her, after knowing each other for a while through Crochet in Paternoster and Ons Hekel (a crochet closed group, founded by Stel from Haak-en-stekie  ). As you can see from the above picture, Anneke and I exchanged some gifts (crochet related!!!), and in my beautiful basket (crocheted by Anneke!) I found the followings .... It was like Christmas for me!!! I was so happy to receive some precious South African cottons (from Moya  and Nurturing Fibres ) and 3 balls of t-shirt yarns + a 12mm wooden hook !!!! When back in Maputo, I had to start something with the t-shirt yarn, as I never used it before : very very curious !!! The first idea I came up with was : a bag!!!  So, I started to browse in various Japanese crochet books until I found the right pattern for my purpose and I started ...

Kruger National Park : day 3, last one !

So, next morning we left Berg-en-Dal Camp Site to go back home in Maputo and it was a short ride to reach the main gate of the park, but we had the opportunity to watch some buffalos … … and find out a pack of Wild Dogs, resting under a tree … Do you see the tip of a tail? … and two last photos taken by Tobia : a crocodile and some hippos … …. soon, we'll be back there !!!! Kruger National Park : day two !

When we woke up the next morning, we found a family of warthogs near our breakfast area … …. they were so funny and discreet !!! After our breakfast, we packed our luggages and off we went to the Kruger again!!!!! Some impalas received us and a big Blue Wildebeest …  Our first giraffes of the day … A beautiful zebra…. A crouched wildebeest … zebras …. …. a perfect blue sky with white clouds …. …. another warthogs family …. some zebras and impalas crossing the road… and a young zebra carrying 3 Red-Billed Oxpeckers … giraffe and impalas … another young zebra … … and an elephant …. two young impalas males "fighting" … a couple of rhinos … a wet elephant … giraffes … zebras …. Later, we entered the  Berg-en-Dal Rest Camp  … Obviously we followed the path in the light afte...
