Make it ! Cheer up with pom pom cherries !!!

A very simple and easy craft!!!

You just need :



  • some yarn ( I choose some red and green)
  • a pom pom maker (or use any method you prefer most)
  • a pair of scissors
  • a hook 
  • a tapestry needle
  • a pin
With the pom pom maker make 2 pompoms and trim them



Collect the hook and the green yarn and crochet a chain...


....I did two!!! One with 50 chains, the other with 60...


After making a bow with both of them (the loops resemble the leaves of the cherries!), I decided to use the bow made with 60 stitches...
At this point, grab the tapestry needle and one pom pom, so that you can insert one of the pom pom tails in the eye of the needle...


....and make it pass through the first chain of the green bow...



pull the red yarn until the green strip touches the knot made to fix the pom pom when done with the pom pom maker..


...and make a double knot with the red tails!!! Cut the excess of yarn from all the tails...


Now do the same with the other pom pom and ...



...your cherries are done !!!!! .....


I decided to add a pin on the back...


....I have a new brooch in my collection....

    With those pompoms it even looks better.

    I'm going to start it one of thes days, together with you plaid.

    Just found the tutorial for the blanket. So easy. I should have thought it would be more difficult. Still more reason to plunge into it.

Make it ! Knitted triangular scarf !!!

Last December, I saw a very simple and cute scarf knitted by Angie ( le monde de sucrette) and I thought to knit one for me, too, but then I was busy with the gifts to prepare for family and friends back in Italy .... so nothing was done for me!!! Luckily, some days ago, while browsing through my blogs list, I found a post from Ilaria ( IDA interior lifestyle) , who was proposing the same (she added a pompom!) piece of clothing .... Make it ! The Granny Bunny !!!

You know, this picture from my  Instagram feed  has collected more than 900 likes ... ... and a colourful crocheter named Karin @woolfieber , made her own version just looking at my pic (you can find her work  HERE  ) !!!! My idea, since the beginning , was to prepare a photo tutorial for you, but do you really need one ? These Granny Bunnies are so easy to crochet, believe me !!!! YOU NEED : some colourful mercerised cotton a 3,5 mm hook a pair of scissors a tapestry needle beads for embellishments (optional) Please note that I follow the US crochet terminology, thank you ! Each bunny measures 13 cm in height and it can be used for different purposes : bunting, hanging decorations, appliques, brooches, on napkin rings and more !!!! The sky's the limit !!!
