Oh yes, when I discover how simple is to do something pretty, nothing stops me for a while, as some of you know very well!! ;oD
Anyway, yesterday afternoon, I grabbed one hook (5mm), some soft acrylic yarn, so I started to crochet a chain cord (30 chains) and two rows in treble crochet (american terminology)...
...and just after finished this one, I started a second one in red, but only one row in tc...
....and yes, even a third one....!!!!.....
as you can see, the last one I crocheted has different colours !!! I love stripes a lot, so even one of my bracelets (maybe this one is better to consider it as a cuff!) had to be stripy! The annoying thing is all the ends that you need to trim at the end...Anyway, the cuff has 3 stripes in tc and 2 borders in contrasting colours, worked in single crochet....
Even Margot was really interested in the making of them all.....
Well, when all the trimming was done, I decided to start with the grey one.....For the closure i did use a couple of snaps as in here, but I wanted to embellish it following a nice idea by Erica (thank you my dear!!!), that she showed here !!! So, i tied 2 little bows from a thin ribbon....
sorry for the quality of the last pictures, but a storm was approaching and the sky was really dark..!!!..
The red one had a different "treatment". From a tin box I collected a stripy (!) lace (from and old shirt of mine) and I made it pass through the "holes" of the bracelet...the nice thing is that the lace is not only an embellishment, but even a nice closure (when you remember to tie a knot or a bow!)...
the first two together...
And now the third one (!!!)....
As you can see from the above photos, I've decided to crochet a row in single crochet to close the cuff. Then I choose an handmade ceramic button, but I'm not still sure about it, so I didn't sew it on....
Here they are all together.....
