Tapestry crochet : my 2nd attempt !!!

….. I still didn't share with you my first try with tapestry crochet ( it's a photo tutorial, so just a little bit of patience and then I'll show you what's all about!!!! ;oD) and today you are going to read (just a little bit) about my second project, well documented through some pics (more than a little bit!) !!!! It all started the last weekend, just from scratch…. I've with me some selected yarns from my stash (just few balls to work with in the meantime, while living in the temporary flat) and i had the desire to try to crochet a flat bag with a tapestry crochet design… After a couple of attempts, this is what I was able to create … … and these are the front and the back of the bag put together, to have an idea about the whole bag design … but from the inside !!!!! ….. This bag needs some lining ( I have the right piece of fabric in the storage place !!!!!! ) and it has reached the following measures : 43cmx35cm, good even to bring ...

Every occasion is good to crochet something, even little !!!!

As right yesterday !!!! It was a friend's B-Day, so I decided to pimp up (just a little !) her gift box adding a crocheted ribbon and a granny heart, as a tag .. The ribbon was really easy to make ! I collected a 4mm hook, some yellow acrylic yarn (from my stash : I think I bought it a couple of years ago in Singapore!) and then I chained 8 chains to work (more or less) 100 rows in DCs !!!! I crocheted some of these Jacquie's granny hearts in some other occasions ( here ,  here ,  here ,  here ,  here ,  here  and  here  ….. yes, hearts galore indeed!!!!!) and I was very curious to re-crochet some more of these motifs and so I did … …. and some of them are hanging from one of ...

Hexagons Shabby Chic Blanket !!!

…. Another mini blanket (143cm x 130cm …. more or less !) !!! It has been a result of a long pondering…. I wanted to work some hexagons (and diamonds, I have to add!) for a long time, but I was not convinced by any motif , even if gorgeous, worked in the round …. even because I didn't want to change colours so many times …. And I really love double crochet as a stitch, so …. …. a simple hexagon motif was born, just using double crochets, row after row, while increasing, decreasing and turning …. really easy and effective, in my humble opinion …. In a couple of weeks, while preparing boxes for the last big move, I completed my 4th blanket (!!!!) … That is …. … named so just because it seems a recycled blanket, from old pieces of fabric sewn together and not ironed …. in my case : not blocked and I love this visual effect, so wrinkled and worn, even though brand new !!! ;oD This blanket is cosy, soft and warm !!! To crochet this little beauty I've used a 6mm...
