....simple things, as preparing the parcel with all the goodies from my first giveaway.... ...or admiring your first crochet project completed (still need blocking!), with all its imperfections.....         I love my rug!!! It's location will be in my studio, in front of my pink sofa : this is the right place for it (and my feet are so happy to stand on it)!!! I can give you some little informations about the rug: measurements : roughly 74cmx50cm worked in double crochet (British terminology), changing colour every two rows border in double crochet, too, worked for two rounds I've used a 4mm hook I don't know how many stitches, because I was not counting them (shame on me!)!!! acrylic yarn from local store I'm quite happy with this not impeccable result! In this post ( here ), you had the chance to meet both Woolhe and Flat, my knitted soft toys. Today, I would like to show you how to knit Flat, but a new version of it! Infact, I usually knitted this funny guy using the basket stitch (where you alternate stockinette stitch with garter stitch), but in this post I'll show you how to knit Flat using the moss stitch, instead! What you need to start: 2 balls of acrylic (or the fiber you prefer!) yarn in contrasting colours a pair of straight knitting needles 4mm or 5mm a pair of scissors for other notions, please wait for "Make it! You need to know the following basics: cast on (knitted cast on method or thumb method) knit stitch (K) purl stitch (P) binding ( or casting) off The pattern to follow : Flat is worked in one piece, so that to reduce the sewing seams! You'll start to knit one of its legs, continuing with the body, the two arms and finishing wit...

...just off my knitting needles, my first washcloth!!! The pattern is easy peasy to follow, believe me! You can find the it on this blog http://aknittingmountain.blogspot.com/ and you have to look for Peace Washcloth Pattern  !!! I was lucky to find it through Ravelry !! I think that now I need to discover a washcloth pattern with an heart, so that I can knit a "peace and love" set to gift to lovely friends....!!! ....About my crochet experiment...still on and the hook that is hot, because the end of the work is still far, not so far, but .... well, when I'll have the idea about what I'm doing, then the end will be close!! .....Have a lovely weekend!!
