My Owl : Mr Rainbowl

Well, after some thinking and struggling about decisions to make to finish My Owl, I'm proud to say that Mr Rainbowl is born and ready to fly...

To me, he is simply magnificent (28 cm tall from head to dangling acorn!).
My husband, while I was still sewing it, said that the owl had too many features....Yes, he is really rich in details, I know, but it couldn't be different! He has to be in this way (at least, this first time!!!).
What do you think? I would like to hear your opinion!

What's going on in here?

I can't say it....Try to guess...

....Any idea????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

...You know? Even these ladies, who sit costantly on my pink sofa close to me, are soooo curious...!!!!
What about you? ;-)) (eh!eh!eh!)...

Uploading photos on Flickr!

During the weekend, I've started to upload my photos on Flickr!
It's a time consuming job, but I'm happy with the results! I've prepared 3 sets (Owls/Gufi, Matryoshka/Matrioska and Jakarta) and more are to come!
If you like you can reach my photostream just clicking on the widget up on the left of my blog page!
I hope you'll like my pictures as I do, even if they are not so good as the ones taken by professional photographers!!!

My owl

When did I start to sew felt owls? Not long ago! Infact you can see them starting from this post(Miss Owlette) and the following ones (....and today : Miss Owloween! and Some cuteness and a little bit of silliness!) and you will discover that this is a recent crafty passion!
My first four owls were born following a template ("felt owl ornament"), that I've discovered via Day to Day (http://www.melissagoodsell.typepad.com/). This template has been designed by Jessica Levitt on her blog http://www.juicy-bits.typepad.com/  and I really love it!!!
So in this way I became an owl addict and now I've designed my personal owl! It will be completed in a short while as you can see from the following pics...

Phew!!!
I'm very glad about the result till now and I'm completely smitten with the "feathers" on my owl's tummy!!!
What about you? Any comment? Please feel free to leave a comment at the end of this post! I would like to hear from you!!

Back in JK!!!

We came back just a couple of days ago. We left from Milano Malpensa Airport on the 5th around 21:30 and we arrived in Jakarta the next day at 22:30...!!! It's a very long trip from Italy to this part of Asia, but it's part of our life this crazy traveling...
The kids went back to school this morning and even Paolo went back to the office!
And what about myself? It's so simple, just follow the pics...

..My first 2012 morning walk in JK!!!! And we are only at the beginning of the new year!!!
After the stroll, I came back home and right following the shower I entered in my studio...

I love this room, I really do! In here, when at home, I spend a lot of my time! I read books or magazines on my pink sofa, maybe listening to some cds (no mp3 with me!), like this morning: a greatest hits from Duran Duran!!! Unbelievable, but so perfect for my memories of the eighties!!!! But, the most important thing that I do in here is create my things! I prepare everything in this room, starting from the scketches...

...something new around the corner...

...there is one other furry living being that shares the same love for my "personal" room...

...guess who?
