Summer "scarves" !!!!

Before leaving Maputo for our summer holidays in Italy, I started (and completed!) some other little projects…

I have a passion for circles, so I crocheted a big pile of them …

… and when I decided it was enough, I began to join them with a colourful simple border with picots …

…. so at the end I obtained a kind of necklace/scarf as you can see me trying it on …

I made even another one, but with a white border : this time the final effect was more "cold" …

… and my mum took that one !!!!

I did even an experiment with some pink and red diamonds …

… and when I added the green border, this necklace/scarf reminded me the tail of a kite, don't you think?

I made even a proper scarf (!!!!), just following the Arctic Scarf pattern by Sarah London …

My crochet week !!!!

Just little things done for a couple of events in school !

On Tuesday : Hippie Day …

On Friday : International Week …. (not only the Europe bunting !) ….

Following a couple of patterns (here and here), I crocheted a headband with a flower  for myself (in the picture above, the green headband is at the top right corner of the picture)…

… before taking this pic, I was having a little discussion with Tobia … see the happy faces ???

 some flags on big safety pins …

On the closed side of the pin, I used a 4mm hook to work 12 single crochets to start the flag; then for each colour, I crocheted 6 rows using half double crochets. To have a sturdy flag, I worked using 2 threads of same colour for each section.

For my boots, I crocheted a classic granny square (of 3 rounds) to decorate the left boot, while around the right boot, I knotted 3 chains (green, white and red) …

In the meantime, I started to crochet some granny squares (colours chosen by Tobia), for a blanket …

…. little things that kept me busy …. and happy !!!! ;oD

Did I crochet in the meantime????

… Oh yes, quite a lot !!!! Just to relax and to forget about all the mess around me !!!! ;oD

I posted something on my Facebook page, such as a trio of floral coasters, my version of the popular south bay shawlette, a couple of necklaces made with tiny roses and a triangle crocheted infinity scarf !!!!

But today I'll show you other things that I didn't post anywhere !!!

a long necklace made with a curlicue (the foundation chain was made with more than 400 chains !!!)

… and some crocheted mini bags, worked with a 4mm hook and two cotton strands ( of contrasting colours) at the same time

… And this time I remembered to bring with me my "circles" (look here and here ), that are giving some colour to my white new kitchen……

I didn't buy any new yarn this summer and I hope to find some shops here in Maputo to create my new yarn stash ….. !!!!! ;oD

Another thing : Margot is here with us and she is enjoying it, too !!!
